Not that any of us should be all that surprised, but "Alice In Wonderland" is at the top of the box office after this last weekends opening. Racking in an estimated $166 million many people think it may even top some of the records set by "Avatar". Now that's SAYING something. It is obvious that this film is much darker than the original cartoon that we all cherished throughout our childhood, but how could anyone be surprised? This IS Tim Burton we are talking about. Anything involving him and his wife, Helen Bonham Carter is sure to be dark. Johnny Depp takes the cake as being the best casted character. But come on, he's a chameleon! He can transform into just about anything and pull it off! (but I must say he is a much sexier pirate than crazy man in a weird top hat... JUST SAYING). Although some people may be upset that it is different from the original cartoon and story, many are taken aback by the breathtaking special effects. I guess 3D is officially a new craze. This is #1 on my list right now - want to see this SO bad! Tim Burton is one of my favorite director's of all time. He's a Genius and one of the most creative filmmakers our there today.
